Baccarat – When the Banker Shows a Natural Nine

A croupier deals two cards face up for each player and banker; winning hands are determined by having point values that come closest to nine.

When the banker shows a “natural nine”, this indicates he or she has scored eight or nine points – known as an “easy win”. This combination in baccarat provides you with double your bet payouts!

According to game rules, the banker may draw an additional card after dealing the first two cards if his third card falls between 0-5, 2 and 3, or 7 and 8. Regardless of its value, he draws and stays with either option as his final choice.

Bankers typically draw an additional card when their opponent’s third card is 4 or 5, unless it’s an 8 or 9. This occurs less than 1% of the time.

Bets on both Banker and Player sides pay even money, subject to a 5% house commission for Banker bets. Tie bets pay 8:1, though ties tend to only occur occasionally during each game. Understanding natural wins is critical, since this will prevent your bet from going wrong; natural nines are an especially reliable outcome of baccarat that should always be chosen when betting – thus becoming your go-to bet in baccarat!
